The motorways of Istria: the A8 from the Rijeka side through the Učka tunnel, and the A9 down the west coast from Umag to Pula. They meet at Kanfanar. Each price is the car toll from Matulji (Učka tunnel); pick any exit for its full price list.
Matulji is the Rijeka side of the Učka tunnel. Every journey to or from it goes through the tunnel, and the tunnel is included in the price.

About the road
The Istrian Y is two motorways that meet at Kanfanar, in the middle of the peninsula. The A8 comes from Matulji, above Rijeka and Opatija, through the Učka tunnel and past Pazin. The A9 runs down the west coast from the Slovenian border near Umag to Pula. Both are run by the concession company Bina Istra, on a price list separate from the rest of the country.
The Učka tunnel, about five kilometres long, is the only fast road between the Kvarner coast and Istria, and its toll is part of any journey to or from Matulji. On the A9 the road crosses the river Mirna on a bridge 1.4 km long, and the Lim valley on a viaduct 125 metres high.
The longest journey on this price list, Matulji (Učka tunnel) to Umag, is 110 km and takes about 1 h 25 min without stops. A car pays €12.40 for it, which is €11.30 per 100 km.
