About the road
The A4 runs 97 km from the Zagreb bypass north-east to the Hungarian border at Goričan, past Varaždin and Čakovec: the way in from Budapest and Lake Balaton. The first kilometres out of Zagreb, as far as Sveta Helena, are free.
Beyond Varaždin the road crosses the Drava and ends at the Mura, the border river, where the Hungarian M7 takes over.
The longest journey on this price list, Sveta Helena to Goričan, is 73 km and takes about 50 min without stops. A car pays €6.40 for it, which is €8.83 per 100 km.
